Beate Schmidtke has been supporting ECSA-C in various roles over the past 20 years.  Starting in 2005/2007, Beate was instrumental in supporting the inception of the ECSA-C Young Researchers Network in her role as the manager for the Young Researchers projects ( Conference of young researchers from Canada at the European University Institute in Florence). Over the years since then, in her role as the European Canada Network co-lead, Beate has led many activities supporting ECSA-C such as the database of the association’s members,  the video series with European Studies scholars in Canada, the ECSA-Cn project and more.
